The sound is impressive, as promised by the reviews and measurements. Subjectively, I hear all the frequency ranges in detail, although the amount of bass may be too much in some cases. But it is better to have a certain amount of bass and adjust it by changing the eartips than have insufficient bass that is harder to increase. The shape is excellent for my ears, in this regard Mega5p may only be compared to BGVP VG4 in my collection. I use VG4 with bass switch off, Mega5p are more similar to VG4 with bass switch on. The high frequences of VG4 sound louder, but I would say that the high frequences of Mega5p sound more resolved in my impression. One nuance is that Mega5p have ventilation holes that make me hear more ambient sound compared to VG4, but not too much. In particular, Mega5p are usable in the underground train with an appropriate volume increase. The sensitivity of Mega5p is lower compared to VG4, but still sufficient for use with a phone. When using Mega5p with Ifi Go Blu receiver I have excellent sound from the 3.5 connection, but hear some unpleasant hiss from the 4.4 connection, which seems too powerful for Mega5p (as well as for VG4). The bundle is not bad. The cable with interchangeable plugs may be useful, although I did not use it much since I prefer cables with L-shaped plugs. The bundle provides a set of different eartips including extremely rare wide and short eartips that I previously obtained from the VG4 bundle. Those wide and short eartips help me with the use of earphones that have long nozzles (like Tinhifi P1 Plus and Moondrop Kato), although both Mega5p and VG4 have moderate nozzles that in fact allow using a broader range of eartips.
